My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer 2 years ago. Now the doc says he has lesions on his ribs and spine. What should I expect as far as how long he will live and what kind of treatments are out there?

Is your Dad’s lesions considered mets from previous prostate cancer? If so, there is a good chance they can help him. Prostate cancer is very slow moving and given treatment he has a good chance at recovery.
I think (but am not 100% positive) that they would give him radiation first then possibly preventative chemo in case there are any floaters (cancer cells in the blood stream).
In saying that.. if this is a new cancer, treatment options may vary depending on the stage and localization.
